This month we will be showing a DVD about the ”real” John Nash, who was portrayed in the movie “A Beautiful Mind” by Russell Crowe. This is an hour long documentary called “A Brilliant Madness”. Often referred to as one of the most remarkable mathematicians in history, John Nash suffered a devastating breakdown at the age of thirty and was later diagnosed with schizophrenia. John Nash tells his own version of the strange, tragic and inspiring events that took him on the long road from genius to immobilizing illness and finally to receiving the Nobel Prize for Economics in 1994.
The general education meeting is held the 3rd Saturday of each month @ 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Pardee Education Center at Blue Ridge Mall – Four Seasons Blvd.
